Confusion, a Metaphor

Confusion, a Metaphor

My Kingdom had I one for a clue.  Anyway, away, away, at wake of day, but hold can that be true?

“We are legion”, … what exactly did that mean at Umm Qais then and what might it mean now?  Was it a demon, a collective of demons or merely a figurative expression, synonymous with many?

As a metaphor it may be useful in attempting to bridge my romantic perceptions which vary so drastically from day to day based on whether or not I’m with her.  When she’s near I’m totally in love and almost anything seems tolerable, but when she’s away, … well, that particular me seems such a fool.  I wonder what she really wants.  I wonder if she has a clue.  I could certainly use one right about now.  Or has she given some I merely fail to grasp; perhaps more than a few.

“We are legion”, … what exactly did that mean at Umm Qais then and what might it mean now?  Was it a demon, a collective of demons or merely a figurative expression, synonymous with many?

Can legion be merely two, a very small legion in a place at once home and very far away?
