Pretty Cool, in a Warm Sort of Way
The Summer Solstice, at least in the Northern Hemisphere, and Manizales is there, although not that far from the perpetual balance of the equator so it doesn’t quite share the magic of the Tropics of Cancer or Capricorn.
Longest day, shortest night, at least somewhere to the North where I dwelt for so long,
I loved that during my many decades in New York and used to fantasize about always living in deep Spring and Summer, with houses in Montreal and Buenos Aires, and always having long days and short nights.
For some reason I associated that with a very positive energy, perhaps I still do, although there’s much to say for balance, and living on what’s enough rather than a wasteful share that deprives others.
Still, … Longest day, shortest night, at least somewhere,
Pretty cool for some reason, in a warm sort of way.
