What if my sentience is really composite? A committee of transmigrating souls temporarily stranded, sharing learning experiences and practicing at group decision making?

It would explain quite a bit:

Attention deficit would not be a disorder but just a bit of disagreement among the committee. With shifting shades of power, the more even the division, the more difficult it would be to focus.

Bipolarity? Just a sharper division, like the political winds currently blowing over large segments of the Western World.

Nature seems to tend towards efficiency everywhere except, perhaps, where humans are concerned, although, perhaps we just don’t grasp its goals.

In a monist-panentheist multiverse seeking to attain greater understanding through experience, a form of intellectual and ethical evolution on a spiritual plane, maximizing the opportunity for experiential – experimentation would make a lot of sense, at least on a relativistic – comparative basis.
