Paving the Road to Hell
I disagree with current Republican postures on a vast range of issues. I disagree with most of their premises and postulates. I believe they are wrong but not that they are evil. I believe they desperately enjoy power, but not that their obsession is so all encompassing that they would willingly destroy the world to attain it. The same is true with respect to our current president, purportedly also a Republican, something I doubt.
Unfortunately, the same does not seem true of the part of the Democratic Party founded by the Clinton power couple, a memeplex which has infected most of the mainstream media and, through manipulation of fear and prejudice ironically in the name of equality (and not much else), infected all too many otherwise decent people.
It seems as though the quest to regain lost power corrupts even more thoroughly than power itself, and the world and everything in it be damned.
Who says the road to Hell need be paved with good intentions?
