The Mighty Falling[1]
There was a time not all that long ago (it feels as though it were yesterday almost) when I and most others thought that the age of the giants among acronyms, IBM and AT&T, could never end.
They were the firmament it seemed.
Or, less melodramatically, that such time would not end for a long time.
Now, today, they are almost at history’s door; knocking silently, imploring for a place to rest.
Or perhaps I only hope that’s true.
