Scotland, Will it really be the Brave?
I just saw a beautiful picture taken somewhere in Scotland.
It’s hard to describe, a combination of fields and rocks, and water and mist and light, eerie but beautiful; I can feel the chill and wonder at the men who brave kilts in that weather, no wonder they’re so tenacious and tough and sometimes ill tempered, with an underlying caustic sense of humor.
The Scotts, a fascinating people now considering liberation from the dominance of their southern neighbors.
I wonder what Bonny Prince Charlie is feeling, wherever he might be.
I wonder what they’ll decide. Has domination tamed their inner fire, has fear fed their basest most insecure flaws, or will the Scotts be born again.
If so, which is admittedly very much in doubt, what will they bring to the world.
Perhaps a brave new spirit.
