Similes and Metaphors and Stuff like That

Similes rolled off her tongue, she couldn’t help it.  She was a Valley Girl.  Deep in the Valley where gold grass is rolled and the kids float higher than the trees.

He was more into metaphors.  OK, perhaps just lies but being Stanford literate he was pretty good at obfuscation, and alliteration, and self-delusion too.

An unlikely couple in a likely setting; Central California, hey, hey, the bay by Monterey.  The King’s Hill.  Lover’s Point Park … in the dark.

She wondered what their child might be like, if it came to that.  A porpoise flew by, winked (or seemed to)  and smiled.
