Thank you Bobby

Recently I suffered a serious romantic setback that left me feeling betrayed, not only by the woman involved but by the very concept of unique romantic love. Even more importantly, it made me question my commitment to values like truth, honor and integrity. It made me ask, as so many of us have done in similar circumstances, whether anything really mattered.

I just listened to Bobby Darrin singing his “Simple Song of Freedom” and those doubts were resolved. The flame in my heart may have seemed extinguished but enough of an ember remained for that song to bring the blaze that keeps me going roaring back. At least with respect to my love of social values.
